It's All About Lifestyle
My transformation was a surreal experience. In the end, I learned that it isn’t just about having an exercise and a meal plan, it is about having a plan to change your lifestyle.
Little did I know back in 2013 that I was embarking on a journey to change my entire lifestyle, not just lose a few pounds. After going through heartache, working excessive hours and engaging in unhealthy relationships; I literally lost myself and found myself at my breaking point.
I didn’t know what direction to take my life into. To me, the most noticeable part that needed attention was my body. In under 3 years, I went from weighing 120lbs to weighing 165lbs. I gained about 15 unhealthy pounds a year. I had 2 careers; an airline worker and a high school teacher. I slept for less than 4 hours a day, my diet consisted of: french fries, pizza, cakes and eating out, and my gym regime was only about cardio - I didn’t know how to weight lift so I didn’t really do much resistance training.
In April of 2013, I had a free consultation with a personal trainer. She created a workout program and explained macronutrients (proteins, carbohydrates and essential fatty acids) to me. By July, 2013, I had lost nearly 25lbs. I felt awesome! However, this was just the start of my journey. I didn’t know that I was going learn how to better attract positive relationships, take control of my sleep habits, learn more about my body and well-being and raise awareness about mental wellness.
